DARIEN - The owner of the Darien restaurant where a valuable painting was stolen last week says it has been returned.
Ten Twenty Post's manager, David Nelson, reached out to the Darien community and asked for the painting back, no questions asked, after it was snatched Friday night.
Last night, he says the restaurant got an anonymous call about the $7,000 painting, saying where to find it.
The owner says when they found the painting there was a note attached saying it was a prank and the pranksters didn't know it was valuable. They also apologized for taking it.
