STRATFORD - Parents of students from St. James School in Stratford are upset they were not told sooner that a student brought an airsoft gun to school last week.

School officials say parents were informed the next day that an investigation was taking place, but were given few details in order to protect the identity of the juvenile involved.

School officials say the student who brought the gun was expelled.  The gun uses spring-loaded action to shoot plastic pellets but looks just like a real firearm.
