GREENWICH - About 250 passengers were stranded on a stalled Amtrak train in Greenwich for several hours yesterday.

Amtrak officials say a mechanical problem caused the train to break down.

Crews tried to move passengers to another train, but that one got stuck too.

Eventually, the passengers were towed to Stamford.
