The train station opened in December of 2011 without any toilets, and its isolated location makes it difficult for commuters to even stop into a nearby restaurant if they have to use the restroom. (August 26, 2014 11:01 PM)

A Bridgeport woman is leading an effort to have bathrooms built at the Fairfield Metro train station.

Katie Fredericks, 20, recently started an online petition to address the lack of a bathroom facility and convenience shop at the station.

Commuters who spoke with News 12 said the station seemed “desolate” and is in need of an upgrade.
