Pickup truck, school bus collide in Trumbull

TRUMBULL - A truck driver is reportedly in critical condition after colliding with a school bus in Trumbull Thursday evening.Officials say the accident occurred around 5 p.m. near the intersection of routes 111 and 25.Police say the pickup truck suddenly pulled out in front of the bus, which was carrying 12 members of the Masuk High School football team. Officials say the team was returning from practice and that none of the students were hurt.The Connecticut Post says the truck driver had to be cut out of the vehicle and was taken to Saint Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. The driver's identity has not yet been released.
