Pizzeria holds benefit for Orange family

ORANGE - A pizzeria hosted a fundraiser Monday to benefit a family whose Orange home was destroyed by a fire last month.

Reno?s Pizzeria at 89 Boston Post Road donated 30 percent of its total sales and all of the wait staff tips to the Appel family following the fire that destroyed their home on Dec. 27.

?It just seems like the right thing to do,? says owner David Kennedy. ?Any problem there is?the townspeople really step up.?

Normally, the pizzeria is closed on Mondays. The event raised more than $2,500.

Anyone interested in contributing to a fund set up for the Appel family is asked to contact Reno's Pizzeria at 203-799-7366.
