BRIDGEPORT - Plans to build a group home for female veterans have been held up in Bridgeport.

A group wants to build a "Home for the Brave" shelter on Clinton Avenue. However, the city's Planning and Zoning Board took no action at a hearing on the plan.

One veteran says the home would be a safe place for women who need help after returning from combat.
