STRATFORD - Two ceremonies were held today at playgrounds to honor the memory of two Newtown shooting victims.

The ceremonies were scheduled to take place yesterday, but were put off until today due to the rain.

One ribbon-cutting was held at Long Lots Playground in Westport, which has been dedicated in memory of student Dylan Hockley. The groundbreaking ceremony in memory of teacher Victoria Soto was held in Stratford.

The playground dedicated to Soto is being constructed by a New Jersey firefighters' union. The union has plans to construct 26 playgrounds, one in memory of each victim, in communities in the tri-state area affected by Superstorm Sandy.
