Police in Fairfield are investigating vandalism at a Penfield Beach playground built in memory of a Sandy Hook shooting victim.

Police say a local firefighter was walking along the beach and discovered several scratches across the sign dedicated to Jessica Rekos.

Police say they believe the vandalism happened at some point last weekend.
