SHELTON - A former Bridgeport firefighter, accused of pouring acid into a neighbor's water supply pipes, has worked out a plea deal.

A judge has allowed Edward Vaccola, 52, of Shelton, to enter an accelerated rehabilitation program since he had no previous convictions and because he lost his job as a result of the incident.

The victim said Vaccalo used the acid in retaliation for being reported for illegally dumping used motor oil at the mobile home park were they lived.
