Hundreds of people took a dip in the Long Island Sound Sunday for Stamford’s third annual Polar Bear Plunge.

The event supports Family Centers, a Greenwich-based nonprofit organization which provides education, health and counseling services to families in southwestern Connecticut.

All proceeds from the Polar Bear Plunge went to Family Centers.
