BRIDGEPORT - This morning, police in Bridgeport are searching for the driver involved in a rollover accident that sent one person to the hospital.

Police say it happened early yesterday on East Main Street.

Witnesses say the driver hit two parked cars before slamming into a grocery store and rolling over.

Investigators say the driver fled the scene, but a passenger in that car was hurt and had to be taken to the hospital. Earlier reports that the driver was injured were erroneous. 

Police are not sure what caused the accident
