NORWALK - Police say an overnight police chase through three communities has landed a wanted man behind bars.

According to authorities, 50-year-old Cesar Fulton was driving a Dodge Durango past the Norwalk police station without its headlights on just after midnight. They say officers tried to pull him over, but he rammed multiple vehicles before taking off northbound on I-95.

Police say the chase ended at exit 24 when Fulton ditched the SUV and took off on foot with a passenger. Both suspects were then apprehended by Fairfield police.

Officials say Fulton was taken to Norwalk Hospital, where they found seven pieces of crack cocaine in his clothes.

He will face a judge in Norwalk early next week before being sent back to Florida.
