FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police say two teenage girls are recovering after their car hit a tree.

Officers say it happened on Sturges Road near Unquowa Road West yesterday evening. 

The front end of the car and the area where the vehicle hit the tree sustained heavy damage.

Police say the girls were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
