NORWALK - Norwalk police say several people are facing charges after an undercover raid at an illegal gambling operation.

Authorities say the operation was run out of the third floor of an East Avenue office building. They add that the suspects had security cameras monitoring a heavily bolted main door.

During the sting, detectives say a man tried to escape by leaping out a window and is in serious condition.

Casino patrons were photographed and released, but six people who worked there were taken into custody. None of them appeared in court Thursday as they had already posted bond.
