STAMFORD - Stamford police are searching for suspects they say set an abandoned home on fire early Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to a blaze at 2382 Washington Blvd. at around 3:30 a.m. after Athena Mudrow, who lives next door, called 911. Mudrow says she was awoken by the smell of smoke and saw the house fully engulfed in flames.

Mudrow says the home has been abandoned for at least four years. Another neighbor on the street says a few squatters were living in the home recently.
