NEW CANAAN - New Canaan police say they have arrested a Norwalk man who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of items from residential homes on Monday.

According to officials, Dominick Sciaretta, 23, stole artwork, jewelry and electronics from several homes from Spring Water Lane to Running Brook Lane during a five-hour robbery spree.

Police say that they made the arrest after a neighbor gave them the license plate number of the red Honda Accord that Sciaretta was driving.

Sciaretta is being held on $100,000 bond and is expected to face a judge on Wednesday.
