BRIDGEPORT - Police say there was at least five storm-related deaths in Connecticut.

Bridgeport police say a 53-year-old man was found dead in his driveway yesterday on Old Town Road. His cause of death has been described as a possible hypothermia cardiac arrest.

In Shelton, police say a 49-year-old man died after apparently suffering a medical event while shoveling snow. In Danbury, a 73-year-old man was killed when officials say he fell while shoveling.

A woman in her 80s who was clearing snow Friday in Prospect was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver, officials say. Gov. Dannel Malloy says a fifth death was reported in Connecticut, but details weren't immediately available.

Officials say more storm-related deaths have been reported in other parts of the Northeast, including in Maine, Massachusetts, New York and Canada.
