Police: Body of boater missing nearly a week found

OXFORD - Police say that the body of a boater who has been missing for nearly a week has been found.

Officials say that the body of 75-year-old Richard Fiske, of Woodbridge, was found by a person in a canoe under the waters of Lake Housatonic today and called 911.

A dive team was brought in and recovered the body of Fiske.

Fiske had gone missing on Monday after leaving from the New Haven Rowing Club and never returned. A search of the area found his boat overturned.

Officials say the have not determined a cause of death yet.
