FAIRFIELD - A medical examiner confirmed today the body found washed ashore in Fairfield yesterday is that of a man reported missing from Bridgeport  nearly two weeks ago.

Officials say 32-year-old Shigemune Mori died from accidental drowning.

Police say two people discovered the body while walking near Fairfield Beach Road yesterday afternoon.

They say Mori was last seen struggling on a boat with another man on June 12.
