BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport woman is due in court in Norwalk for allegedly stabbing the father of their child multiple times.

Police say 21-year-old Jayde Williams was arrested Sunday night.

They say the incident started at an apartment on Suncrest Road where Williams was arguing with someone and broke a glass.

Police say that glass struck a child who was not seriously hurt.

They say Williams then went to her ex's apartment on the same street and began arguing with him.

During the dispute, police say she grabbed a knife and stabbed him several times.

Police say Williams is facing several charges including assault and risk of injury to a minor.

They say the victim is expected to be okay.
