Police bust alleged drug den in Norwalk

NORWALK - Police arrested a Norwalk man who allegedly ran a sophisticated drug operation out of his home and sold them on the streets.

According to police, 28-year-old Darrin St. Armand grew, dried and packaged Psilocybin mushrooms in the basement of his Quaker Road home. He sold the mushrooms, along with LSD and ecstasy, in Stamford, police say.

Police say other people in the house didn't know he was growing an illegal product.

St. Armand was able to buy everything he needed to grow the mushrooms on the Internet legally, according to police.
