BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport man was arrested Tuesday after Fairfield police say they found hundreds of bags of heroin and an illegal weapon in his car.

Police say Christian Pichardo, 20, was found in the Kohl’s parking lot on Tunxis Hill Road in Fairfield. They had been attempting to track him down for the last six months.

Authorities say they confiscated 300 bags of heroin as well as a loaded pistol that did not have a serial number.

Police say they also seized two of Pichardo's vehicles and $3,000.

News 12 was told Pichardo is being held on a $100,000 bond.
