BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police began digging in Seaside Park on Saturday and a police source is now confirming that they were looking for the body of Bianca Lebron.

The 10-year-old girl went missing nearly eight years ago in November 2001. She was last seen getting into a van in front of her elementary school.

Police began digging after receiving a tip that Lebron was buried in the park. They did not uncover anything, but say they will continue to follow up on the tip, including another possible search at the park.
