NORWALK - Stratford police have made an arrest in the case of a girl who reported she was being followed on the way to school.

Police say Gary Belton-Tilghman, 19, followed the 14-year-old on Barnum Avenue after asking her to get in his car as she walked to Stratford High School. 

Investigators say they were able to identify the Woodbridge native and his vehicle after looking at surveillance footage.

Belton-Tilghman allegedly admitted to the incident after being taken into custody.
