Norwalk police say a man who led them on a chase after swiping a police car over the weekend is out on bond.

The pursuit happened at around 2 a.m. Saturday. Police say an officer was trying to stop Hakim Smith, 25, to speak to him when he took off at a high speed. He allegedly ran over a person's foot and hit a parked car before jumping a curb and swiping a police cruiser.
