Police hunt for burglary suspects in Stamford

STAMFORD - Police are searching for at least three men they say stole six hunting rifles from a Stamford home Wednesday morning.

According to police, the men walked into the garage of a Denise Drive home and stole the rifles. Authorities say no one was held up or injured. They are unsure if anyone was home at the time.

Stamford police and state police K-9 units tried to track down the suspects. Witnesses say one man fled in a red Nissan Pathfinder.

Police warned the Newfield School, the Rippowam School and AITE Science and Technology School about the incident and advised that they keep people inside.
