NORWALK - Norwalk police are searching for the person who shot a teenager five times yesterday afternoon, about a block away from the police station.
Sgt. Lisa Cotto says an officer heard the shots near Columbus School on Chestnut Street just before 4 p.m. and found the 19-year-old lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say they are looking for a silver sedan that was seen fleeing the scene.
Officials say the victim is in critical, but stable condition at Norwalk Hospital.
