Police say Eula Whitney was hit by a car on the Wilbur Cross Parkway in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE - State police have identified the woman they say was hit and killed by a car on the Wilbur Cross Parkway in Woodbridge Friday. 

Police say the woman killed is Eula Whitney, 68, from New Haven.

Investigators say they do not know why she was on the parkway since they did not find an abandoned vehicle.

Police say they are still looking for the car that hit her. They say it is a 2007-2009 Nissan Versa hatchback or 4-door sedan with front end damage.
