Police identify Fairfield crash victim as Franc Us

Police say Franc Us may have been pinned

Police say Franc Us may have been pinned between a car and a wall for an hour before he was discovered.

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police have released new information about the accident that left an 83-year-old pinned between a truck and his garage.

Franc Us is still listed in critical condition at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Officers say he is unconscious and unable to speak with investigators about the accident, but they believe he got out of the car while it was still in drive, causing it to slowly roll and pin him.

Police say the neighbor that made the initial phone call to 911 heard a crash an hour prior to calling police. They think that Us may have been pinned in his garage for an hour before help arrived.

Fairfield firefighters that responded to the scene say they had to lift the car off of Us with their bare hands.
