Police in Wilton and Westport are investigating several home robberies that they believe may be connected.  Police say the first robbery occurred on Pond Road

WILTON - Police in Wilton and Westport are investigating several home robberies that they believe may be connected.

Police say the first robbery occurred on Pond Road in Wilton Saturday night, followed by two others nearby on Sturges Ridge Road and Henry Austin Drive.  Detectives say the latest robbery occurred Monday night at a home on Forest Drive in Westport.

Detectives say there are similarities in each of the break-ins, pried open windows or doors, and similar physical evidence.

Police confirm the first three houses were vacant during the break-ins, but the homeowners were asleep upstairs in the fourth house.

Authorities are urging residents to make sure they lock their doors and windows.
