Police investigate Fairfield home invasion

FAIRFIELD - Police say they're investigating a home invasion at an elderly couple's residence in Fairfield.

Investigators say four men in masks resembling Halloween costumes first rang the doorbell of a home on Park Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. last night and then broke in.

Officials say the elderly couple was home at the time and that the suspects struggled with the couple, but proceeded to steal jewelry and cash.

"They kept asking where is the money, where is the money," says one of the victims, who declined to be identified.

Police say they believe the suspects had selected this house specifically.

If you have information about the crime, you're asked to contact Fairfield police at 203-254-4800.
