Police investigate New Canaan home invasion

NEW CANAAN - Police are investigating a home invasion where the suspects allegedly tied up the homeowner in New Canaan. Police say two to three people broke into a home on Ponus Ridge Road on Saturday night. The suspects tied the homeowner up with rope and continued to search the home for jewelry, investigators say. The suspects fled the scene when they heard the police sirens. The homeowner believes one of the suspects had a gun. Officers say the homeowner was not hurt. Police are trying to determine if the home invasion is related to similar cases in nearby towns this past year. Officials are urging anyone with information to call 203-354-INFO.
