Police investigate Norwalk shooting

Police say they are investigating a deadly shooting in Norwalk. Friends say the victim was 43-year-old Jimmy-Flaco Martinez.

NORWALK - Police say they are investigating a deadly shooting in Norwalk.

Friends say the victim was 43-year-old Jimmy-Flaco Martinez. Authorities say the victim was found shot on Leonard Street just before 2 a.m. on Thursday.

Police say when they arrived on the scene following the 911 call they received several reports of shots being heard.

Friends say that Martinez was a Norwalk native.

The incident marks Norwalk's first homicide in almost a year. Officials request that anyone with information contact them immediately.
