STAMFORD - Stamford police say a local man is facing drug and gun possession charges this evening after a traffic stop led them to uncover drugs and several weapons in his car, and subsequently, his home.

They say officers stopped 30-year-old Jason Novy yesterday on Strawberry Hill Avenue. Novy allegedly had a small bag of marijuana and a machete inside his vehicle.

Investigators then searched his apartment where they found four guns, including an AR-15, $2,000, 10 grams of cocaine, and paraphernalia they say was used to sell and distribute drugs.

Police say Novy's arrest follows a 10-month investigation.

Novy will face a judge next month.
