FAIRFIELD - The Fairfield man accused of keeping a weapons and chemical arsenal admitted to making a bomb for guitarist Keith Richards, according to an arrest warrant obtained by News 12 Connecticut.
Joe Callahan, 69, was arrested earlier this week after police found a stockpile of guns, ammo and chemicals in his Bronson Road home. He apparently called 911 to report that someone had broken into his home, which prompted authorities to go to his residence.
In Callahan’s arrest warrant, he mentions that he put together a bomb for Weston resident Keith Richards, guitarist for the Rolling Stones. He also admitted to possessing chemicals used in the 1993 World Trade Center and 1995 Oklahoma City bombings.

Police say they don't believe Callahan had intentions of hurting anyone, but was taken to the hospital because they deemed him a possible danger to himself. He was speaking and acting erratically when they took him into custody, and appeared to suffer from mental health issues.
In addition, Callahan says he played with explosives as a hobby.
Callahan is set to appear in court next week.
