Police: Leads diminishing 1 month after murder of Westport jeweler

WESTPORT - One month after the murder of Yekutiel Zeevi inside his Westport jewelry store, officials say leads are diminishing in their hunt for the suspect.

Police say Zeevi was shot and killed by a man inside YZ Jewelers on Post Road East while another victim was wounded.

"We are as committed now as we were a month ago to find the person who perpetrated this crime," says Westport Police Capt. Sam Arciola.

Zeevi's family says the loss is made harder since it is being forced to close the store as there is no one to take the business over.

Police say they are working with the TV show "America's Most Wanted" to bring national attention to the story.

Anyone with information is asked to call Westport police at 203-341-6000.
