STAMFORD - Stamford police say they are looking for the suspect involved in a robbery that happened on Highview and Camp avenues Tuesday night.

Police say the suspect grabbed a woman from behind, threw her to the ground and stole her purse.

Police say nine robberies have been reported in the city this month, although they say that number is not unusual for a city of Stamford's size. Investigators say none of the incidents are related.

In many cases, police say the robbery victims were intoxicated at the time. They are urging those who are the victim of a robbery to try to get a good description of the suspect so they can make a quick arrest.
