Police: Man stuck in bin after allegedly trying to steal clothes

DARIEN - Officials say a man was stuck in a bin after he allegedly tried stealing clothes from a drop-off bin.

Police say 24-year-old Edgard Dubon called 911 for help after getting stuck in a bin at the Goodwives Shopping Center, located off Old Kings Highway.

The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on August 8. Officials say the items that were inside of the bin were not for charity but for profit. The proceeds benefit the Narcotics Enforcement Officers of Connecticut.

News 12 Connecticut was told that the bin was broken after the incident and has since been taken away by officials.
