NORWALK - Authorities released a chilling 911 taped conversation today between Omar Thornton, who police say shot and killed eight people at a Manchester beer distributor earlier this week, and a dispatcher.

Thornton, who killed himself seconds after the call with police closing in on him, told the dispatcher his co-workers at Hartford Distributors were racist.

In a statement today, the CEO of Hartford Distributors, Ross Hollander, told reporters that Thornton had been asked to resign after an internal investigation found he was stealing beer from the company.
