NEW CANAAN - New Canaan police say a woman they described as suicidal has been found after walking away from Silver Hill Hospital and is expected to be OK.

The woman was reported missing yesterday afternoon. News 12 Connecticut has learned officers from New Canaan and Wilton, as well as K-9 units and the state police helicopter, were used in the search.

Police say she was found on Pastures Lane in New Canaan at 8 a.m. this morning and taken to the hospital for injuries to her wrist. She remains hospitalized this evening.
