NORWALK - A Norwalk man is being called a hero this evening after he helped rescue a man who fell into the frigid waters at Cove Marina.

Tom Wilson, who works at the marina, says he was getting ready to leave when he walked outside and heard a huge splash.

Wilson says he then called 911 and when an officer arrived, the two pulled the man onto the dock and started CPR as the EMTs arrived.

Officials say the man Wilson rescued is in the intensive care unit at Norwalk Hospital.

Wilson says he hopes to be able to shake the boater?s hand someday soon.
