Police: Nurses aide arrested, accused of abuse

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police say they have arrested a woman for abusing an elderly patient who was under her care at Ludlowe Health Center.

Tina Blake, of Bridgeport, is accused of being responsible for the patient's bruises and broken bones. Police say they were alerted of the abuse by the family.

According to investigators, the family was told the male patient had hit his head and only suffered minor injuries. The family's suspicions grew and they called a doctor before calling police.

Police say the patient has resided at the center since 2011 and the 21-year-old suspect has only been there for a few months. They say more arrests are possible.
