SHELTON - State police are investigating two fatal accidents on Route 8 this weekend that killed three southwestern Connecticut residents.

On Friday, 19-year-old Lawrence Morra, of Stratford, hit a guard rail while exiting Route 8 near Constitution Boulevard South, went down an embankment and hit a tree.

The crash killed Morra and a front seat passenger, 18-year-old Viviana Cavalli, of Shelton.

Officials say that on Sunday, 29-year-old Lagman Asad, of Bridgeport, was killed when his car veered off Route 8 and crashed into a tree between exits 12 and 11.
