Police probe alleged staff-student relationship in Redding

REDDING - Police say they are investigating reports of a possible inappropriate relationship between a school staff member and a high school student at Joel Barlow High in Redding.

Investigators say they were forwarded the complaint from the Department of Children and Families.

Police say no charges have yet been filed and they will not be releasing the name of the staff member or student involved.

School officials say the staff member has been temporarily suspended from their position pending the completion of the investigation.
