NORWALK - Norwalk police are continuing their search for a man who they say attacked a woman outside a local gym.

Officials say the attack occurred yesterday at around 5 p.m. in the parking lot of L.A. Fitness on Main Avenue.

Police say the victim was approached by a man and slashed with a knife, sustaining a minor stab wound, before getting away from the attacker. They say the man may have known the victim and was specifically targeting her.

Police temporarily closed off the area surrounding the gym and established a command post while they searched for the suspect.
