Police probe attempted robbery in Norwalk

NORWALK - Police are searching for two suspects accused of attempting to rob a Norwalk store owner Wednesday night.

The incident happened at the Las Taracas Store on Butler Street, just half a block away from the gas station where an attendant was fatally shot over the weekend.

Store owner Jose Flores says two armed men stormed into his store, telling him to get down. Instead, Flores says he ran to the back of the store, making the robbers think he had a gun and prompting them to escape.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3000.
