BRIDGEPORT - Police say they're looking for a suspect who carjacked a caretaker's van at gunpoint and took off with an 89-year-old woman inside.

Police say the woman, Dorthea Knoll, and her caretaker, Beverly Galvin, were driving along Hawthorne Street when a man with a gun approached the van and pulled Galvin out.

Galvin says Knoll can?t speak or walk. 

A patrol officer spotted Knoll in the van on Spring Street more than two hours after the carjacking happened, according to officials.

Knoll was taken to the hospital, but police say she appeared to be unharmed.
