FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police say the death of an elderly woman appears to be an accidental drowning.

The body of Blanca Nedela, 78, was found floating in the pool by her husband last night.

Police say a neighbor who is an EMT heard the husband screaming and came over to help.

Nedela was taken to the hospital.

Police say they are investigating but the death does not appear suspicious.
