Police probe shots fired in Norwalk

NORWALK - Police say they are investigating an incident of shots fired near the intersection of Laura and Austin streets in Norwalk this afternoon.

Officials say someone fired several shots at a taxi at around 11:30 a.m., intending to hit the passenger in the vehicle.

A short time later, authorities say investigators went from the shooting scene to the nearby King Kennedy Housing Complex to speak with some residents about the incident.

Police say they are still looking for the passenger of the taxi, who was apparently not hit. They say the shooter got away in a dark Honda or Nissan.
